What is AglyMax?

What is AglyMax®?

AglyMax, the primary ingredient in Effisoy, is a unique soy germ extract with standardized levels of isoflavones in their most usable form (aglycones). While the process to produce AglyMax is quite involved and protected by patents in both Japan and the United States, the fundamental technique has existed for thousands of years.

Researchers have found that the key to unlocking soy’s potential was in the selective use of soy germ and its subsequent fermentation by Koji. The initial open-label, Pilot Study included 24 menopausal women with five to fourteen hot flashes/day who took an AglyMax supplement daily over an eight-week period. The 21 participants who completed the study experienced an average 54% reduction in their hot flash score which represents improvements in both severity and frequency of hot flashes. The results of this study were published in the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics.

The successful Pilot Study has since been followed up with a larger scale, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial at the same facilities. We are pleased to announce that results from the follow up clinical trial have been published in the peer-reviewed medical journal Menopause (January 2008). The study found that Effisoy’s active ingredient AglyMax, is effective in reducing hot flashes in menopausal women.
